About the Role As an Early Childhood Teacher at Mt. Charleston Elementary School, you will play a critical role in shaping the minds of our students. This is a remote-based position with flexibility, allowing you to work from a location that suits your needs. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and implement an instructional program that prepares students for lives as informed and engaged citizens in a global society. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation. Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, incorporating various teaching methods and technologies. Assess student progress, identify areas of improvement, and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to keep them informed about student progress and school activities. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Collaborate with colleagues to achieve school goals and promote a positive school culture. Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. Valid Nevada Teaching License or eligible for licensure. Valid Nevada Driver's License. CPR/First Aid/AED Certification (required for certain teaching assignments). Ability to complete a thorough background check and pass mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. Preferred qualifications include: Experience in early childhood education. Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with diverse student populations and communities. What We Offer Nye County School District is committed to providing a competitive salary and benefits package to our employees. The salary range for this position is $46,657 - $94,006 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to the competitive salary, we are offering a New Hire Incentive: $2,000 for candidates with a Traditional License. $1,000 for candidates who have completed Alternative Route to Licensure (ARL) within the past year. This is a one-year contract position, and we are seeking candidates who are committed to making a positive impact in our school community.
