This is a part‑time, hourly role based in Carbondale, IL. Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience Excellence

Greet and engage: Welcome every customer with a friendly smile, eye contact, and a genuine offer of assistance.
Identify needs proactively: Ask insightful questions to uncover customer preferences and recommend appropriate items or services.
Resolve issues promptly: Listen attentively to concerns, provide clear explanations, and follow arenaflex service traits to achieve a satisfactory resolution.
Share best practices: Model exemplary service behaviors and mentor teammates on effective interpersonal habits.
Maintain a positive atmosphere: Contribute to a welcoming store environment that encourages repeat visits.


Operational Duties

Checkout efficiency: Operate the assigned cash register, process sales accurately, handle cash, and issue change.
Transaction variety: Manage voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with arenaflex procedures.
Merchandising and inventory: Keep counters and shelves tidy, restock merchandise, rotate products using FIFO methodology, and assist with price tagging.
Asset protection: Follow arenaflex asset protection guidelines to prevent shrinkage and safeguard store profitability.
Regulatory compliance: Verify age restrictions for regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco, ensuring adherence to state and local laws.
Display creation: Build and maintain promotional, seasonal, and sale displays, including participating in store resets and revisions.
Food safety awareness: Separate raw and pre‑cooked items, position food products per policy, and keep consumables organized.
Technology proficiency: Utilize store systems and equipment efficiently, including the digital photo station, picture passport services, and web‑pickup platforms.
Store upkeep: Support interior and exterior cleaning, ensuring the store remains orderly and inviting.
Team collaboration: Follow arenaflex policies, respect coworker relationships, and contribute to a harmonious workplace.
Special assignments: Accept additional tasks or projects as directed by managers or shift leaders.


Training & Personal Development

Participate in mandatory and optional training sessions, completing all required Performance‑Based Learning (PBL) modules.

Essential Qualifications

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (required for all locations except Puerto Rico).
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help others.
Basic mathematical ability for cash handling and transaction accuracy.


Preferred Qualifications

At least six months of prior experience in a retail or customer‑service environment.
