Perform systems modeling, simulation, and analysis to provide appropriate software solutions that meet client business needs with a high level of guidance/supervision.Provide input for documentation and assist in documenting new or existing programs to ensure information accessibility, as required.Participate in designing, developing, troubleshooting, and analyzing software programs that operate with hardware systems.Assist in customizing purchased applications and maintaining program libraries and manuals based on research and customer needs.Provide feedback and reports to management on the status and availability of software and hardware to ensure proper functioning.Work under moderate guidance with senior team members to provide hands-on first-level support to customers.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field is preferred.Entry level – performs routine assignments.Has conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures in software engineering or operating systems programming acquired through a college or university degree or equivalent work experience.Other QualificationsBasic analytical and problem-solving skills for design, creation, and testing of software.Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.Communication skills to interact with team members and support personnel.Ability to work in a team environment.Work EnvironmentOffice environmentRequirements and QualificationsFluency in English language.Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and time management skills.Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.Familiarity with programming languages and software development tools.Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and does not encompass all the responsibilities and qualifications required for the Associate Professional Software Engineer role at DXC.
