Domino Developer
Domino Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business applications using the HCL Domino platform, which includes creating custom forms, views, workflows, and databases within the Notes client environment, often utilizing technologies like XPages to build web-based applications, while collaborating with stakeholders to understand and implement specific business requirements; essentially specializing in building and managing complex applications on the HCL Domino infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Application Design and Development:
• Analyze business needs and translate them into functional HCL Domino applications.
• Create custom forms, views, and documents within Domino databases.
• Develop XPages applications for web-based access and user interfaces.
• Implement workflows and business logic within Domino applications.
• Maintenance and Support:
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within existing Domino applications.
• Perform upgrades and updates to Domino applications and server infrastructure.
• Monitor application performance and optimize for efficiency.
• Integration with Other Systems:
• Integrate Domino applications with external systems and APIs using various integration methods.
• Develop data exchange mechanisms between Domino and other platforms.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with business users to gather requirements and understand their needs.
• Collaborate with other developers and system administrators to ensure project success.
• Document application designs, technical specifications, and user guides.
Required Skills:
• Proficient in HCL Domino development tools:
Deep understanding of Domino Designer, XPages, LotusScript, and related technologies.
• Database Design:
Ability to design efficient Domino databases with appropriate data structures and access controls.
• Web Development Skills:
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript for creating user-friendly interfaces.
• Programming Concepts:
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Problem-solving and Troubleshooting:
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex application issues within the Domino environment.
