As a Home Health Aide or CNA, you will provide in-home personal care and health-related services to maintain the physical and emotional well-being of patients. Responsibilities May provide or assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing in bed, tub or shower; care of hair including shampoo, combing and brushing; care of teeth and mouth including denture care; nail care, filing only; skin care including peri care and applying lotion; transfer of patient from bed to chair and to wheelchair. Transfer of patients on and off bedpan, commode and toilet Reports observations of the client's condition to the agency director or accounts manager Drives safely, complies with traffic regulations, and wears a seat belt when business travel is required Assists with household tasks directly essential to clients' personal care Skills Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transportation Current CPR certification Ability to work flexible hours and independently Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client Successful completion of a total of seventy-five (75) hours of training which include sixteen (16) hours of clinical training prior to or during the first three (3) months of employment and who is qualified to provide basic services, including simple procedures as extension of therapy services, personal care regarding nutritional needs, ambulation and exercise, and household services essential to health care at home 6+ months of home care experience Benefits Comprehensive benefits package Incentive and recognition programs Equity stock purchase 401k contribution Company Overview Optum is a healthcare company that provides pharmacy services, health care operations, and population health management.
