DOL VETS TAP: OBTT Travel Facilitator (Part Time) - Western Region
Position Description
JOIN OUR TEAM to assist and prepare for further employment our Military Veterans by delivering workshops at locations across the United States and virtually. The Department of Labor (DOL) Veterans Employment and Training Service (VETS) program requires contractor services to support these veterans through the Off-Base Transition Training (OBTT) that is offered nationally to... conduct job assistance workshops.
In this role, you will:
Teaching and/or instructing Veterans on employment skills used to obtain to civilian employment.
Guide the Veterans in identifying goals while also assisting them with recognizing any employment or education gaps.
Providing Veterans, including those currently serving in the Reserves and National Guard, and Veteran Spouses a comprehensive understanding of civilian employment, job searching, job application processes, networking, technical training opportunities, credentialing, and assistance in preparing for civilian employment and participation in technical programs and schools; and who can conduct large group instruction and provide counseling on the job search process.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A High School Diploma and 3+ years of experience as a professional trainer or facilitator.
OR an Associates degree
Experience which demonstrates understanding of private and public sector employment processes.
Experience as a classroom instructor..
The ability to facilitate workshops on site.
Knowledgeable of the workplace, jobs, and requirement for entry into those jobs.
To demonstrate the ability to provide training to groups with up to 50 participants: individual career counseling experience.
To be proficient in MS Windows and Office.
The ability to communicate effectively with Military clients, be comfortable instructing and speaking in front of a group, be observant of others, possess the ability to engage an audience, and respond to inquiries independently.
To be available (when required) to work extended hours, including weekdays, weekends, and some holidays, and be willing to perform administrative functions for the office.
The ability to travel up to 75%.
Additional desired experience and skills:
Experience providing Veterans, including those currently serving in the Reserves and National Guard, and Veteran Spouses a comprehensive understanding of preparing for civilian employment, job searching, job application processes, networking, technical training opportunities, credentialing, and assistance in preparing for civilian employment and participation in technical programs and schools.
Experience as a classroom instructor.

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $26.04 to $39.06; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
