Responsibilities:
As a Distributed Systems Engineer in our Data Platform team, you'll be responsible for:
Designing and building scalable, reliable, and highly available distributed systems
Working with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes
Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and TPMs to identify and prioritize project requirements
Contributing to open-source communities and Netflix OSS
Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
Driving innovation in data platform infrastructure and architecture
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
2+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems or applications
Expertise in designing and developing RESTful web services
Experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems
Proficiency in Java or other object-oriented programming languages
Strong understanding of multi-threading and concurrent programming
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
