The Judiciary Clerk 2 (Finance) role involves performing various clerical and administrative support functions to assist court operations and serve clients effectively.ResponsibilitiesComplete standard office or agency business formsMaintain records, files or other written materialsOpen, sort, and distribute mail, cards, letters, forms, and packagesOperate photocopying and scanning machinesProvide quality customer service to court users and/or internal customersProvide information to clients, customers or the publicRequest information from individuals, agencies, office visitors or customersRecord information into computerized recordkeeping or accounting systemsSelect appropriate form letters for routine correspondenceEnter data into various systemsComplete standard accounting or bookkeeping formsCompose routine correspondence, such as form letters or standard replies to inquiriesMaintain security or confidentiality of records, equipment or computer accessAnswer telephonesOperate cash registerPost expense, cash or revenue entriesPrepare files and records for scanningPerforms other related duties as requiredSkillsAbility to use a keyboard is necessary. No minimum typing speed requiredPhysical Ability: For some positions, applicants must have the ability to perform work which requires climbing and prolonged standing, stretching, bending and reaching to perform the essential duties of the positionFor some positions, the selected candidate must be able to frequently lift and carry supplies weighing from 30 to 50 pounds and, occasionally, materials weighing up to 75 pounds, in order to perform essential duties of the positionDriver's License: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the positionAuthorization to Work: US citizenship is not required.
