Your Day at Yahoo Finance:

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team that is spread out across the US and globally. Identify key business and user experience opportunities and drive consensus within a diverse team of stakeholders.
• Leads design activities at the portfolio level, by identifying unique opportunities to apply skills to deliver business value
• Creates partnerships across design disciplines and portfolios to avoid duplication and integrate experiences for customers
• Advocates for skills required for the product and portfolio
• Build a strong design culture within the greater product org by promoting design thinking to counterparts in Product and Engineering. Grow the design team through mentorship, visioning, and team development
• Ensure work across the team is of the highest quality and the implemented products accurately reflect the product and design vision

About You:

• Location Preference: Mountain View or surrounding areas - hybrid work environment
• 12+ years of cross-platform product design exp experience in the consumer products space
• 3+ years of experience managing and developing complex design teams
• You are passionate and enthusiastic about leadership and the impact servant leaders can have on a designer's career. You have experience leading teams for multiple years and have coached high-performing, high-impact designers to success
• Solid craftsmanship: skilled in both the theory and practice of design, up-to-date on design patterns, able to differentiate between trends and emerging best practices, familiar with user research methods, and a firm understanding of user-centered design and when to apply different tools and processes to achieve a great outcome
• Enough professional experience that you thrive in the face of ambiguity and complexity and know how to get things done across a globally distributed environment. You have excellent communication skills across all mediums with the proven ability to influence a diverse set of stakeholders and executives. Your teammates love collaborating with you!
• Demonstrated passion for fintech, financial markets, and Yahoo Finance’s product and potential
• Strong communicator of design direction with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
• Experience leading concept-to-deliver design projects
• Highly collaborative, energetic, and results-oriented, working hands-on in a fast-paced software development environment
• Extra credit for experience leading through major UI overhauls or having taken products from 0 to 1

The compensation for this position ranges from $160,965.00 - $349,885.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
