OBJECTIVE:

To help us continue growing, we’re seeking an experienced Director of Operations to join a highly skilled team. The ideal candidate will have senior management experience in a dynamic setting. The role requires outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills and an ability to develop innovative solutions that push boundaries. The director of operations will work closely with the VP of Operations along with the rest of the executive team to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success for Kids Empire.

Essential Job Functions
• Directly oversee Regional Managers, District managers, and all operational support roles.
• Collaborate with multi-unit management teams to develop performance goals and long-term operational plans
• Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration
• Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity
• Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary
• Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives
• Draw on relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals
• Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
• Devise strategies for ensuring the growth of programs enterprise-wide, and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs
• Adhere to the company’s policies and standards, and ensure that laws and regulations are being followed
• Work closely with Human Resources to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment
• Supervise and support the day-to-day operations of multiple unit management teams.
• Conduct regular market tours to assess performance and address operational issues.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profit targets for all markets collectively.
• Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed.
• Foster effective communication channels between Parks and the Support Center.
• Monitor day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
• Manages and conducts park assessments for all markets assigned.
• Conduct interviews, hire and maintain all leadership potions.
• Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Ensure that all rides and facilities are properly maintained and meet safety standards.
• Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to address any issues promptly.
• Manage all purchases of supplies, merch, food, and beverages for all markets.
• Conduct audits and participate in investigations alongside other departments.
• Address customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.

Physical Demands
• Stand, walk, bend, twist constantly.
• Frequent travel throughout all markets
• Must be able to work in noisy environments created by guests, such as children yelling and music.
• Must be able to tolerate a hectic work environment during peak hours.
• Must be able to work in a tight structure.
• Work weekends and holidays

Required Skills
• Reside in the west coast is a must
• Ten or more years in a senior leadership role in a field related to our industry
• Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success
• Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and employee management
• Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
• Ability to streamline or implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands
• Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration or related field
• Experience in developing budgets and business plans
• Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purposes
• Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, using business management software.
• Proven experience in a multi-market role.
• Strong understanding of operations, financial management, and customer service.
• Good communication skills, customer service skills, and strong conflict-resolution skills
• Leadership skills
