Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and results-driven Director of Customer Sales to lead our national account management team and drive business growth with our key customers. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for developing and executing annual plans, negotiating agreements, and providing subject matter expertise to resolve complex customer issues. Key Responsibilities
Lead a cross-functional team to deliver business results across assigned customers, including Circle-K and other national and regional channel customers
Develop and execute annual plans, including negotiating agreements and providing subject matter expertise to resolve complex customer issues
Drive processes and execution of annual plans across assigned customers and bottlers, including delivery of key business and financial metrics
Partner with senior management and cross-functional team members to build annual plans and achieve short-term and long-term business objectives
Lead annual negotiations to ensure optimized partnership agreements are in place to support overall organizational priorities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement customer selling stories, including providing key insights to deliver key execution metrics
Oversee ongoing account updates and performance reporting, including problem-solving plan gaps and bringing forward recommendations to deliver required business objectives
Develop and leverage top-level external relationships at major accounts to optimize arenaflex positioning in the market
System Leadership
As a Director of Customer Sales, you will participate in all system routines as needed, including providing customer updates, annual plan targets, and ongoing customer performance updates. You will work closely with arenaflex sales teams to maximize mutual goals, results, and execution, and build and leverage relationships with both arenaflex teams and bottlers to ensure alignment and focus on delivering key customer objectives.
Cross-Functional Communication and Collaboration
You will provide ongoing updates on customer plan results and opportunities to arenaflex management, and participate in key cross-functional routines to ensure flawless execution of customer programs and initiatives. You will also provide customer input to annual plans, including marketing, commercial, and innovation plans.
Organizational Development
As a leader, you will fully leverage all cross-functional resources to deliver best-in-class capabilities to customers, including selling stories, consumer and customer marketing, and insights and revenue growth management plans. You will coach and mentor your team, providing subject matter expertise on customer needs, and manage to annual T&E budget for the department, ensuring alignment with internal financial objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required
8+ years of direct sales experience in CPG, with a track record of successfully selling into multiple national and regional channel customers
Previous experience managing people/teams preferred
Self-motivated and highly organized, with a strong desire to produce results and an entrepreneurial spirit to succeed
Able to quickly assess the needs of the business, develop an action plan, and manage the required change
Ability to effectively intermingle with a wide variety of business professionals
Passion for building brands, new products, and long-term growth
Solid computer skills in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, with a strong understanding and analytical skills in understanding Nielsen/IRI syndicated data
Position requires substantial travel (+50%) and a valid driver's license
