Key Responsibilities

As a Director, National Sales - Dollar General, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and developing relationships with our customers. Your key responsibilities will include:


Manages and leads collaborative business planning with strategic goals to develop and execute key partnership initiatives, category programs, and drive brand sales.
Drives processes and execution of annual plans across assigned customers and bottlers, delivering key business and financial metrics, including topline results (Revenue, volume, Share) and key financial metrics (trade spend and T&E budgets).
Meets regularly with customers to review and identify strategic direction, problem areas, and opportunities to promote product growth.
Develops Business Plans, including goals, key initiatives, major actions, key support needed, and new product recommendations.
Develops relationships with all key decision-makers, both internal and external.
Collaborates and fosters relationships with local bottling partners, builds sales capability, and facilitates stewardship discussions.
Keeps abreast of competitive activities within the responsible geographies and communicates appropriate activity in a timely manner.
Collaborates with cross-functional representatives to ensure that Coca-Cola North America delivers the full depth and breadth of resources that result in mutual benefits/results.
Leads the stewardship routines with responsible bottlers and internal stakeholders that measure/communicate each partner's activities against mutually agreed-upon plans.
Champions change through the elimination of barriers and ongoing service issues to provide the highest level of customer service and value creation.


Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:


Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
7+ years of national sales experience within the beverage or CPG industries.
The ability to lead, prioritize, collaborate, and execute complex projects.
The ability to seek alternatives and recommend best solutions that gain all parties' support and lead to win-win results.
Self-motivated and highly organized with a strong desire to produce results with an entrepreneurial spirit to succeed.
The ability to quickly assess the needs of the business, develop an action plan, and manage the required change.
Strong data and insights knowledge and skills to assist in storytelling-type selling.


Preferred Qualifications

We would also prefer candidates with:


Experience working with large customers and developing strategic relationships.
Knowledge of the beverage or CPG industries and market trends.
Experience with sales planning and execution, including budgeting and forecasting.
