This role sits at the core of how credit strategy is translated into real-world outcomes.You will work closely with the Head of Credit Risk and leadership team, with direct exposure to how portfolio decisions are made and how capital is deployed.This is a hands-on role focused on building, implementing, and improving real-world systems, not just producing analysis.Why This Role MattersYou are building the decisioning infrastructure that directly impacts portfolio performance and capital outcomesYour systems determine how underwriting decisions are executed at scaleYou will work closely with the Head of Credit Risk and CFO on portfolio performance and decision-makingOpportunity to build a modern, data-driven risk system leveraging signals across lending, payments, and wealthA chance to move beyond static models into real-time, adaptive decisioning systemsDirect contribution to long-term value creation through improved risk performanceWhat You’ll OwnDevelopment and evolution of credit risk models and predictive frameworksPortfolio analytics, cohort analysis, and performance measurementExperimentation frameworks to test and improve underwriting performanceImplementation and maintenance of decision logic within production systemsAnalytics infrastructure, including dashboards and reporting systemsData pipelines and systems supporting risk decisioningExecution of credit policies within systems to ensure consistency and accuracyLeadership of a small analytics and decisioning teamContinuous improvement of tooling, automation, and scalabilityDevelopment of decisioning systems that can extend across multiple product linesWhat You Bring7–12 years of experience in credit risk, modeling, or analyticsStrong foundation in statistical modeling and data analysisExperience working with real-world portfolios and production systemsProven ability to build and scale modeling, analytics, and decisioning systemsStrong technical skills (SQL, Python, data platforms)Ability to translate strategy and analysis into production executionBuilder mindset with a focus on systems, not just modelsStrong attention to detail and ownership of implementation qualityInterest in applying decisioning frameworks beyond lending over timeStrong communication across technical and business stakeholdersComfort operating in a lean, high-accountability environmentCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $140,000 – $180,000 CADPerformance-based bonusMeaningful equity participation tied to long-term value creationComprehensive health, dental, and vision coverageFlexible vacation and remote-first work environmentFinal NoteThis role is designed for someone who wants to own how decisions are built and executed in real systems, and directly influence how risk translates into portfolio performance and capital outcomes.
