Director Business Development - Medsurg What you will be doing:The Business Development Director is a field-based sales role that requires constant client facing interaction to close new business and drive penetration from existing clients. Primary responsible is the recruitment of new members in the long-term care (LTC) and behavioral health (BH) verticals. Utilizing an in-depth understanding of Strategic Accounts financial drivers and extensive sales experience, this position develops credibility and fosters relationships with Strategic Account leaders who make selection decisions. The position is accountable for thoroughly understanding the customer’s key initiatives and opportunities, creating, and delivering a compelling value proposition that will positively influence decision-makers. Reports to Vice President, Strategic Accounts Field Services.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development – 80%Ā· Reach sales goals by recruiting new LTC/BH members as well as growing existing accounts.Ā· Continually seek market intelligence for new GAF/NAF opportunities.Ā· Deliver effective presentations on the total value of the contract portfolio and company services.Ā· Interact with internal team to assure account set-up and necessary follow-up.Ā· Primary focus is on the LTC and BHMaintenance of Existing Relationships – 10%Ā· Retain key customer base by educating customers about Premier CoC value added programs.Ā· Develop a comprehensive analysis of savings opportunities through the use of purchase reports.Ā· Deliver effective presentations on the total value of the contract portfolio and company servicesAdministrative – 10%Ā· Following up on new/existing member paperwork, completing/sending member designation forms, updating National Account member facility rosters.Ā· Completing monthly expenses.Ā· Setting appointments new prospects/existing members.Ā· Attend tradeshows & internal meetings as needed​Required QualificationsWork Experience:Years of Applicable Experience - 7 or more yearsEducation:Bachelors (Required) Preferred QualificationsSkills:Ā· Executive level presentationĀ· Strong analytic skillsĀ· CRM documentationExperience:Ā· Medsurg salesĀ· GPO salesĀ· LTC/BH account managementĀ·Ā· Significant comprehensive Medsurg and/or Strategic Account sales experience; demonstrated client engagement leadership in healthcare or supply chain.Education:Ā· Bachelors Additional Job Requirements:Remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time Be adaptive and change priorities quickly; meet deadlines Attention to detail Operate computer programs and software Ability to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formats. Sedentary work involves remaining stationary most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $113,000 - $188,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location.
