You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and deploy cutting-edge technologies to support core product features. Beyond developing the clients that capture the ever-evolving mental models of professional workers, you’ll build and shape our engineering services that support the ingestion and enrichment of those activities.What you will do:Desktop:Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, secure, and extremely reliable code across our client componentsDesign deployment solutions for enterprise-wide rollouts and upgradesParticipate in the testing and evaluation of new technologiesBuild the strategy for the endpoint environment, including emerging technology, new technical solutions, and software roadmapsContribute to major technical projectsLeverage your Microsoft Windows environment skills, using .net/core, c#, Win32API, COM, and MSIX to maintain, design, test, and implement new featuresDesign, build, and maintain the services responsible for ingesting 150 million activities a yearDiagnose user issues in the field, using Sumologic logs and application memory dumps to find issues, devise solutions, and implement the suggested solutionsUnderstand that startups are a little different; we fail fast and adjust as neededWrite unit tests to validate integrations and provide stability for continuous integration.Working in a small team with no separate QA teamWriting Epics that encapsulate the work to be done and breaking them up into deliverable storiesMonitoring and tuning system performance, managing app observability, maintaining service documentation, and performing security patchingProvide hands-on end-user support, administration, installation, and issue resolutionIdentify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issuesContinuously improve the performance, scalability, and security of our applicationsStay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and proactively suggest improvements and new features to enhance our productsImplement automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure robust and reliable software releasesFunctional Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with AI software engineers to develop holistic strategies for driving outcomes, ensuring robustness, reliability, and maintainabilityWork closely with product managers, data scientists, and domain experts to align solutions with business goalsMaintain clear and comprehensive documentation of the digital footprint components and systems architectureOther engineering duties:Attend quarterly offsites (required travel), agile rituals, and other company meetingsParticipate in an on-call rotationAvailability to travel to customers' locationsYou will be a great fit if you have:Knowledge in the following key areas:C# .net 7.0 and onwards.net CoreREST ApiHttp protocolsJSON, OOPWin32, x32 and x64, Windows Server/Enterprise/Home/Professional.COMPInvokeCoding for Virtual Machines and systems with lower specs and resources.Desktop ApplicationsWindows ThreadingVisual Studio 2022Experience with AWSFamiliarity with Git, Sumologic, LaunchDarkly, Auth0Experience with taking part in a regular engineering on-call rotationExperience with Agile-style developmentExcellent communication skillsNice to haves:The following are things that we are looking for in a standout candidate:Experience with PostgresSQL, MongoDbExperience with NodeJS / TypescriptBrower PluginsOutlook PluginsWindows securityWix Installer or other installation toolsExperience building standalone desktop applications that have a 99.99% uptimeFlexibility and Logistics:Location: This role will be based in our company office San Francisco, and hybrid at least 3 days per week.
