About the Project
We are looking for a skilled Design for Manufacturing (DfM) Engineer to review product designs and provide structured, actionable feedback to support efficient, at scale manufacturing. This is an interesting and unique project suited to someone who enjoys refining designs for production readiness and manufacturability.
What You’ll Do
Assess existing product designs with a focus on manufacturability, cost efficiency, and production scalability.
Identify risks, inefficiencies, or design features that may complicate largescale manufacturing.
Provide clear recommendations for design improvements and alternative approaches.
Produce professional technical reports, supported by technical drawings and documentation suitable for manufacturer handoff.
Use SolidWorks or compatible CAD software to review, annotate, or revise models as needed.
Maintain ongoing communication regarding progress, questions, or design challenges.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in Design for Manufacturing, including assessment of mechanical or consumer product designs.
Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks or compatible).
Experience working with low-cost sheet materials such as cardboard, fluted polypropylene (Correx), corrugated plastics.
Excellent spoken and written English communication.
Ability to prepare well structured technical documentation and manufacturing ready drawings.
