Dental ASC Startup Consultant
Dental ASC Startup Consultant (Contract) Location: California (remote + occasional site visits) Type: Contract / Part-Time Consulting I’m a physician developing a new pediatric dental surgery center (ASC) in California — a two-operatory facility designed for dental cases under general anesthesia, primarily serving Medi-Cal and insured patients. I’m looking for a consultant with direct experience starting or operating an ASC, ideally someone who has worked on dental or anesthesia-based centers and understands the Medicare/Medi-Cal certification process. Responsibilities include: • Guiding the setup of a new ASC (facility design, workflow, and compliance) • Advising on Medicare/Medi-Cal certification, AAAHC accreditation, and CDPH/CMS requirements • Helping establish policies, staffing structure, and operational systems • Providing recommendations for billing, credentialing, and scaling the model to additional locations Ideal background: • Proven experience starting or managing an ASC (dental or surgical) • Familiar with California ASC regulations and CMS Conditions for Coverage (42 CFR Part 416) • Experience with AAAHC accreditation and outpatient anesthesia operations • Strong understanding of ASC startup logistics, compliance, and business planning Engagement: • Short-term consulting (initial 3–6 months) • Competitive compensation • Flexible schedule If you’ve built or helped launch an ASC before and want to be part of a new, scalable project, please reach out directly or email [email protected] with a short summary of your experience.
