Demand Planning Consultant
Demand Planning Consultant at Seattle, WA/Remote Contract Lead functional design and configuration of o9 Demand Planning solutions. Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into o9 planning models, hierarchies, and workflows. Configure demand forecasting models, including: Time buckets and calendars Versioning strategies Support advanced planning use cases such as: Statistical forecasting Causal forecasting Demand sensing Enable collaborative demand planning through: Scenario modeling What-if analysis Define planning KPIs, alerts, and dashboards to track demand performance. Configuration, Testing & Deployment Configure planning policies, workflows, constraints, and business rules within o9. Prepare and maintain: Functional specifications Solution design documents User stories Support testing activities, including: Unit testing System Integration Testing (SIT) User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Assist with solution deployment, go-live planning, and hypercare support. Data, Integration & Analytics Collaborate with data teams to support data ingestion, validation, and reconciliation. Support integrations between o9 and source systems, including: ERP systems POS systems CRM platforms External data sources Support master data setup, including: Products Customers Locations Hierarchies Validate forecast accuracy, bias, and ongoing performance metrics. Stakeholder Engagement & Support Provide L2/L3 functional support for demand planning issues and enhancement requests. Perform root cause analysis for forecast deviations and planning discrepancies. Conduct end-user training, knowledge transfer sessions, and documentation. Act as a trusted advisor to business users on demand planning best practices. Essential Skills & Qualifications Required 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, with a focus on Demand Planning. 2+ years of hands-on experience as an o9 Functional Consultant (Demand Planning). Strong understanding of demand forecasting concepts and planning best practices. Hands-on experience configuring o9 Demand Planning modules. Good understanding of: o9 data model Hierarchies Measures Scenarios Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery models. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Good-to-Have Qualifications Experience with: o9 IBP Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Supply Planning modules Knowledge of SQL or data analysis techniques for validation and troubleshooting. Prior experience with planning platforms such as: SAP APO SAP IBP Kinaxis Blue Yonder Domain experience in: Retail CPG Manufacturing Life Sciences o9 certification or formal o9 implementation experience.
