We're seeking a talented Demand Planning Analytics Analyst to join our team and help us achieve our goals. About the Role As a Demand Planning Analytics Analyst, you'll play a critical role in supporting the Demand Management process at Dow. Your primary responsibility will be to generate statistical forecasts using historical sales and external market indicators, performing a series of analyses to drive continuous improvement and influence Demand Managers to use statistical forecasts to enhance the business demand plan. Key Responsibilities: Generate statistical forecasts using historical sales and external market indicators, and perform analyses to identify opportunities for improvement. Support Demand Managers in using statistical forecasts to improve the business demand plan, and provide training on Demand Planning & Analytics activities. Analyze historical performance, identify root causes of data issues, and recommend corrective actions to improve plan accuracy and bias. Maintain and update the list of new and phase-out products, and ensure realignment is performed by Demand Managers. Perform plan accuracy and bias analysis, and provide data and analytical support to projects focused on continuous improvement. Develop and automate reports using tools like DSR or Power BI, and summarize results to support continuous improvement efforts. Utilize programming languages like Python, R, or SQL to extract data and model complex analyses. What We Look for in a Candidate To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in demand planning, statistical knowledge, and systems expertise. Here are the essential qualifications and skills we're looking for: Essential Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or relevant military experience at an E6 rank/Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher. A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience. Systems knowledge, including statistical tools, planning systems (e.g., OM Partners - OMP), and reporting tools (BW, Tableau, Power BI). Demonstrated experience in extracting data from multiple sources and performing complex analysis. Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in supply chain planning. Working knowledge of ERP systems. Certifications in forecasting and supply chain (CPIM, CSCP, CPF). Programming languages like R, Python, etc. OM Partner (OMP) experience. Skills and Competencies: Process knowledge: understanding of demand planning and its impact on business performance. Statistical knowledge: strong understanding of time-series forecasting techniques, multivariate techniques, and correlation/regression analysis. Systems knowledge: knowledge of planning, ERP, and reporting systems, and ability to integrate and validate data from multiple systems. Performance management: sound knowledge of performance metrics used to measure demand planning efficiency. Analytics: ability to perform complex analyses and translate them into understandable outcomes and recommendations. Reporting and communication: experience in communicating complex topics to different levels of audience within the organization.
