Demand Planner (REMOTE, REMOTE, US)
We are seeking a Demand Planner to focus on and create the best possible demand projections for the future to support near term tactical business decisions and long-term strategic business decisions. These decisions will be directly related to the output of the business sales and operations planning process.

The Demand Planner at Leggett & Platt is a hands-on position that requires someone to work tactically, with a large volume of data.
So, what will you be doing as a Demand Planner?
Responsible for long-term product line forecast (18M & 60M)
Adjust sales forecast based on lifts, promotions, etc.
Ensure plans include timing/launch of new products
Evaluate forecast relative to historic assumptions/metrics
Compare sales/inventory to forecast(mid-month)
Intimately familiar with the customer/business intelligence factored into the Demand Plan
Responsible for collecting customer demand intelligence from the commercial team as part of the demand planning process
Responsible for making the manual adjustments to the statistical forecast and its accuracy
Responsible for the accuracy of the finished goods forecast for a product line
Maintain the demand plan between IBP cycles
Analyze actuals monthly and create performance tracking files
Responsible for establishing/reviewing finished goods stocking plans with customers
To be successful in this role, youâll need:
3-5+ years of industry experience in data analysis and developing business cases
2+ yearsâ experience in dashboarding, data visualization, and reporting
Ability to work in cross functional teams
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excited to learn new technologies and analytical methodologies relating to business intelligence and data analysis
Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to translate ambiguous business requirements into complex analyses and actionable insights
A deep understanding of metrics, reporting tools, and data structures
Ability to be a self-starter and work in groups or alone on projects
Ability to align with forward vision and proactively seek solutions to achieving vision
Bachelorâs degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Mathematics. Data Science or Business-related field preferred
Things we consider a plus:
Demand planning experience in the bedding manufacturing environment.
