The role involves maintaining market integrity, adhering to best execution standards, and supporting internal risk and compliance functions. High ethical standards and regulatory awareness are essential to uphold transparency and investor protection. Responsibilities:
Act honestly, fairly and in the best interests of their clients and the integrity of the market.
Establish and maintain internal controls to manage risks related to online forex trading.
Ensure proper segregation of client funds from the firm’s own funds.
Provide adequate risk disclosure to clients prior to engaging in trades.
Comply with reporting and record-keeping obligations under the CMA Act and the Regulations.
Implement anti-money laundering (AML) policies consistent with the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act (POCAMLA).
Use an approved trading platform, with capabilities for audit trails and data integrity.
Have adequately trained personnel to manage and supervise trading. Requirements:
Must be previously approved for any licence by any financial sector regulator and be ready to pass through this process with our Company to be registered with the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) and pass the Fit and proper assessment by the CMA.
A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, law, accounting or a related field.
Must have at least three (3) years' experience in foreign exchange trading, demonstrated ability to perform.
Must hold a certification from the Association Cambiste Internationale-Financial Markets Association or its equivalent (ACI) such as Chartered Financial Analyst.
Must have recent experience in retail financial services (ideally brokerage) in Kenya and strong working knowledge of the Kenyan financial services regulations and requirements.
Must not have a history of fraudulent financial dealings or regulatory breaches.
Must have understanding of corporate governance, financials and risk management.
Must have strong leadership skills.
Be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, where non-routine and/or complex issues are common.
Be able to handle complex issues, projects, and processes.
Demonstrate strong moral and ethical principles. Be willing to learn, accept accountability, demonstrate initiative and support effective co-operation.
Strong sense of financial integrity, responsibility and being able to carry on the regulated activity competently, honestly and fairly.
