Overview
We are seeking an experienced IBM DataStage Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience to join our data engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DataStage ETL development, solid SQL Server knowledge, and familiarity with Unix/Linux environments to support data integration, transformation, and migration projects.
Key Responsibilities
ā¢ Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using IBM DataStage to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
ā¢ Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts in SQL Server to support data processing and transformation.
ā¢ Work in Unix/Linux environments to execute scripts, monitor batch jobs, and troubleshoot ETL issues.
ā¢ Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
ā¢ Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning of ETL jobs.
ā¢ Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
ā¢ Minimum 6+ years of experience as an IBM DataStage Developer.
ā¢ Strong proficiency in SQL Server, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
ā¢ Experience with Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
ā¢ Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, ETL best practices, and data integration techniques.
ā¢ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
ā¢ Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
