DC / NOVA (Remote with SCIF site visits)
220-230k Base Salary + Excellent Benefits
Our client, a 100+ staff, Series C Deep Learning SaaS startup is seeking a Data Scientist with TS/SCI Clearance to deliver best-in-class Predictive Maintenance solutions to the Department of Defense.
You will be remote first, but will need to be available to travel to SCIFs in and around the DC Metro / NOVA when required.
Data Scientist responsibilities:
• Develop and deploy models
• Work directly with DoD data, guiding projects from ideation to implementation
• Integrate with big data frameworks (Databricks, Spark, etc.) to optimize performance
Data Scientist requirements:
• Active TS/SCI security clearance is a pre-requisite for the role
• Located in DC/Northern Virginia with availability for travel to local SCIFs
• BS in Computer Science
• 3+ years of Python data science stack
• Experience with time series modeling
• Docker / Kubernetes
• Big data tools (Spark, Dask, Snowpark, Kafka)
• Task schedulers (Celery, Airflow, Prefect) & web frameworks (Flask, Django)
