Job Summary
As a Data Scientist - Machine Learning & Predictive Modeling, you will be responsible for building and optimizing machine learning models to drive business outcomes in our Last Mile group. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, develop predictive models, and deploy solutions that drive tangible results. Key Responsibilities
Build and optimize machine learning models to enhance the performance of driver abuse and driver seek algorithms
Develop and deploy predictive models using deep learning methodologies, CNNs, Neural networks, image classification, decision trees, random forests, and clustering algorithms
Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop solutions that drive tangible results
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into business operations
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track model performance and business outcomes
Apply best practices for model optimization, testing, and tuning using Chi-square, ROC curve, and root mean square error
Perform data analysis and statistical modeling using Python, Pandas, and SQL
Develop and maintain large-scale datasets for model training and testing
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
2+ years of experience in an analytics or related field
Experience with machine learning and deep learning algorithms
Experience with predictive, statistical, and analytical modeling and exploratory data analysis techniques and strategies
Experience with parametric and non-parametric distributions to enhance model performance
Experience with model evaluation and validation, model fit, and testing, tuning, and validation strategies
Experience with data visualization tools such as Python libraries, GGplot, Matplotlib, and Tableau
Experience with database technologies for data extraction, manipulation, and pre-processing using SQL
Experience with coding languages such as SQL, Python, and Pandas
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience with Git and Github
Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Azure
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark
