About the Role
As a Data Science Manager, you'll lead a team of data scientists in developing and implementing data-driven solutions to prevent financial crime. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and researchers to identify opportunities, design experiments, and bring ideas to life. Your expertise will help us get the most out of large volumes of data, spot opportunities for improvement, and drive product innovation.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of data scientists in developing and implementing data-driven solutions to prevent financial crime
Establish yourself as a trusted partner to the financial crime and product leadership teams
Bring data leadership and rigour to our financial crime function
Set the data strategy for the financial crime area, from data capture to predictive modelling
Manage exceptional Data Scientists and help their career progression and development
Work on all aspects of financial crime, collaborating with senior business stakeholders and product teams
Requirements
Multiple years of experience in data, working as a lead Analyst or Data Scientist
Experience managing multiple data scientists and a passion for empathetic leadership
Comfortable getting hands-on and taking a step back to think strategically
Familiarity with using a variety of Data Science tools and coding languages (Python and SQL)
Passionate about reducing financial crime with data-driven strategies
