The Data Integrity and Reporting Specialist serves as the internal point of reference for the Alliance’s data systems, including the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) Learning Management System (LMS), the LMS used by the Alliance for other audiences, Smartsheet, and the DCYF caregiver recruitment database. This position will focus on data integrity and reporting, as well as support for the existing Data Control Technician(s) and student workers on the team. Duties & Responsibilities Data Management and Documentation: Ensure the integrity of data within the DCYF Learning Management System (LMS), the Alliance LMS, the DCYF caregiver recruitment database, and all other systems that house Alliance end user data. Provide backup to the Data Control Technician(s) and student worker(s) on entering data into these systems as needed. Work with the Associate Director of Statewide Operations and Innovation to develop and document procedures for entering data into these systems and using any workflows or automations built in them for this purpose. Recommend improvements to these systems as needed. Reporting: Extract and clean data from Alliance systems on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to support reporting back to the agency. Respond timely to ad hoc data requests from Alliance managers to support operational needs and continuous improvement processes. Support managers in interpreting data provided to them, and answer questions fully and plainly about the data provided and/or the process used to provide it. Tier 2 Helpdesk Support: Provide support to end users on helpdesk tickets escalated by the Data Control Technician(s) or student worker(s) on issues within the assigned scope undefined Other Duties as Assigned Minimum Requirements: One year of full-time experience as a Data Control Technician III, or equivalent. Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration. Desired Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills. Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including confidence with Pivot Tables and functions/constructs such as VLOOKUP() and INDEX(MATCH()) Ability to collaborate and communicate with community members and laypersons. Demonstrated effectiveness in communicating technical concepts to (very) lay audiences. Agility to learn and support new tools quickly. Ability to write user stories, use cases, and functional requirements and specifications for software implementation. Ability to demonstrate empathy for vulnerable children, youth, and families involved in the system. Commitment to the Alliance’s values of anti-racist and anti-oppressive practice and willingness to engage in ongoing professional development in this dimension. Experience with R, python, and/or SQL. Experience with a state social service system. Experience with Child Welfare and licensed caregiver training systems.
