Our Data Engineering team plays a critical role in collaborating with various stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and architectures that support business growth and innovation. As a Data Engineer at blithequark, you'll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, develop your skills, and make a meaningful impact on the organization. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and architectures to support business intelligence and data science initiatives Gather data requirements, create source-to-target mappings, and develop data validation scripts and reviews Create and monitor ETL/ELT data pipelines, ensuring data quality and integrity Design and implement database schema, tables, and views to support business needs Deliver datasets as input to science models and visualizations, driving business insights and decision-making Utilize technologies such as SQL (Snowflake and PostgreSQL), Python, Docker, GitLab, and Airflow to develop and maintain data products Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Science, Product, and Technology stakeholders to drive project success Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and maintenance Proven expertise in Python and SQL, with experience working with Snowflake Experience with developing in a multi-environment (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) and DEVOPS practices for code deployment/development Experience creating and maintaining automated job schedulers Strong understanding of relational database design and functionality Preferred Qualifications Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, ideally cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar Proficiency in cloud architecture and product offerings, ideally AWS Experience managing and delivering code using a source control product like GitLab/GitHub Experience using Docker Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a combination of technical, business, and soft skills.
