About the Role: Data Specialist - Information Analytics

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team as a Data Specialist - Information Analytics. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operationalizing end-to-end data pipelines that drive analytics and data services across the organization. As a Data Specialist, you will collaborate with product owners, engineering, and data platform teams to create robust data pipelines that serve as the single source of truth for the company.

Key Responsibilities


Design, develop, and operationalize data pipelines to make data available for consumption (BI, Advanced Analytics, Services).
Collaborate with data modelers and data/BI architects to design data pipelines and suggest continuous improvement of data storage, ingestion, quality, and governance.
Develop, test, and implement ETL/ELT processes using IICS (Informatica Cloud).
Utilize Azure services such as Azure SQL DW (Synapse), ADLS, Azure Event Hub, and Azure Data Factory to enhance and accelerate the delivery of data products and services.
Implement big data and NoSQL solutions by developing scalable data processing platforms to drive high-value insights for the organization.
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes and enhancing data delivery.
Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality of data management.
Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences both written and verbal.
Perform peer reviews for other data engineers' work.


Essential Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess:


2+ years of experience designing and operationalizing data pipelines with large and complex datasets.
2+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
2+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica IICS.
2+ years of experience working with Cloud technologies such as ADLS, Azure Databricks, Spark, Azure Synapse, Cosmos DB, and other big data technologies.
2+ years of experience in Data Modeling, ETL, and Data Warehousing.
2+ years of hands-on experience implementing data integration techniques such as event/message-based integration (Kafka, Azure Event Hub), ETL.
A strong understanding of database capacity concepts: Data Lake, Relational Databases, NoSQL, Graph, Data Warehousing.
The ability to work in a fast-paced agile development environment.


Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:


Microsoft Azure or equivalent certifications.
Experience delivering data solutions through agile software development methodologies.
Familiarity with the retail industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working with SAP integration tools including PI/PO.
Experience with UC4 Job Scheduler.
