Your impact
We are preparing to launch one of our enterprise programs, focused on data analytics. Learners in this program come from a decision sciences background and this program will be geared toward upskilling their knowledge. The program will specifically focus on areas such as data storytelling, data visualization, and effective communication with non-technical stakeholders. The goal is to empower decision scientists to leverage data effectively and to help their commercial counterparts make informed, data-driven decisions. We are looking for talented teaching assistants to support learners in this program.
A day in the life
We are currently looking for Data Skills Coaches to join our team. Currently, there are two opportunities to work with us as a Data Skills Coach:
Lecture support Data Skills Coach: We have programs launching in August, September, and October. Data Coaches attend live lectures two times per week, for two hours each lectures to support learners. Programs last 16-18 weeks. Upon completing the data analytics training program with an instructor, the learners’ will have the opportunity to schedule time to meet with the data coach to discuss their capstone project. The Data Coach will support the learner in identifying a real business problem and support them in identifying how to best solve the problem using data analytics skills. We anticipate you would only need to be available for a few hours per week.
Non-lecture support Data Coach: This is a part time, contract position that will run for 40 weeks, with opportunities beginning in October 2024, December 2024, and January 2025 The Data Skills Coach will need to be available for live sessions with program participants twice a week for 2-hours per session. Between attending the live session, providing office hours and asynchronous work, we estimate the total time commitment for this role to be 6-10 hours per week.
Responsibilities for Lecture Support Data Skills Coach:
Management and Support (During Live Program - Weeks 1-20):
Attend all LIVE lectures and provide support for the training program as listed below:
Data Analytics Program (4 hours per week)
Lecture days and times vary depending on the program and client
Provide one hour of “Drop - In Office Hours” per week (1 hour per week)
Attend the TA Weekly Meeting (30 min each week)
Respond to learner messages and conduct follow-up (1 hour per week)
Be available for 1:1 office hour requests with assigned learners based on availability. You may set these hours within our parameters, for your convenience (up to max 4 hours per week)
Complete grading of Fellow’s deliverables (1.5 hours each week)
Work with fellow instructors and the Correlation One team on ways to improve learner experience
Responsibilities
Monitor your Slack channel to answer Learners’ questions
Review the materials for the week so you are prepared to answer questions
Contribute to course design improvement through thoughtful feedback to Correlation One team
Participate in the weekly meeting (time TBD)
Submit weekly write-ups summarizing the week’s accomplishments and challenges. This is due by Monday at 8pm EST each week
Monitor the #extra-help channel on Slack throughout the day to answer Fellows’ questions
Hold live office hours during weekdays
Monitor appropriate Slack channels and answer Learners’ questions
Support Learners who are experiencing technical issues accessing training platform or materials
Hold Individual Office Hours via Zoom weekly with Learners to assist in their Capstone Project
Responsibilities for Non-Lecture Support Data Skills Coach:
Supporting Capstone Project: The Data Coach will support the learner in identifying a real business problem and support them in identifying how to best solve the problem using data analytics skills. We anticipate you would only need to be available for a few hours per week during this time.

5+ years of experience in data-focused role
Experience with Tableau, SQL, and Data Visualization
Experience with B2C /Retail or Consumer Products

Previous learner support experience, preferably in a remote environment

This role is remote and can be located anywhere that is compatible with the EST time zone. We are headquartered in New York City and have office space in Midtown Manhattan.
