Cybersecurity Engineer – Identity & Access Security (MFA)

Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer Identity & Access Security (MFA) Duration: 6+ Months Contract Location: : Remote/Hybrid JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to support a large enterprise initiative focused on strengthening Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) controls and securing external application access. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and validating enhanced security measures across identity, authentication, and third-party integrations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with enterprise IAM platforms, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work effectively under tight timelines. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and enforce enhanced MFA policies across enterprise environments • Secure and manage external application access, including SaaS and third-party integrations • Configure and harden identity and access management (IAM) platforms (e.g., Azure AD / Entra ID, Okta, Ping, Duo) • Implement conditional access, risk-based authentication, and least-privilege access models • Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting of MFA and access control changes to ensure minimal business disruption • Identify and remediate security gaps related to authentication, authorization, and external application exposure • Collaborate with security architects, identity teams, application owners, and infrastructure teams • Document configurations, procedures, and security controls for audit and operational use • Support incident response and investigations related to authentication or access issues • Assist with compliance and security reviews (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST) Required Qualifications • 3 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on IAM and authentication security • Hands-on experience implementing and managing MFA solutions in large enterprise environments • Strong understanding of authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect) Apply tot his job
