Job Description:
The Senior Data Scientist will play a key role in delivering innovative, data-driven solutions across the CVS Health enterprise. You'll leverage advanced statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and big data platforms to guide strategic business decisions. You will collaborate with data engineers, product teams, clinicians, and business leaders to implement scalable solutions for improving care delivery and business performance.
This role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise, hands-on experience in model deployment, and a passion for using data science to drive real-world impact in healthcare.
Requirements:
Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
5+ years of experience in a data science or analytics role (preferably in healthcare, finance, or technology)
Advanced skills in Python, R, SQL, and machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, XGBoost)
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
Strong foundation in statistics, experimentation, and A/B testing
Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy standards preferred
Responsibilities:
Lead development of machine learning models for predictive and prescriptive analytics
Design and implement algorithms to optimize clinical workflows and reduce healthcare costs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into analytical solutions
Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership
Build and maintain data pipelines and modeling infrastructure in production environments
Stay current on new tools and best practices in the data science and healthcare AI space
