We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customs Trade Specialist - 2 to join our team remotely. As a Customs Trade Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with US Customs regulations and facilitating the smooth entry of goods into the US on behalf of our importers. Job Highlights Competitive Salary: $15.00 - $23.12 USD Hourly Remote Work Opportunity: Variable remote work arrangement with some work from home and in-office work required Immediate Openings: Start your career with us today Paid Training: Comprehensive training provided to ensure your success Excellent Benefits: Health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement, tuition reimbursement, and more Key Responsibilities Coordinate and prepare documentation required by US Customs and Government Agencies for the entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including importers, carriers, brokers, and government agencies Process commodities that require specialized processing to reduce the risk of liquidated damages and penalties through classification and application of proper duty preference Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, and internet resources Perform data entry and processing of various import-related documentation for submission to US Customs and Participating Government Agencies (PGAs) Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment documentation in compliance with all record-keeping requirements Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations Collaborate with internal staff, departments, and external stakeholders to deliver high levels of service to customers Process agency brokerage shipments and remote filings Perform entry reconciliations, reviews, and other duties as assigned Essential Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED required Experience: Minimum of 6 months of work experience required; 12 months of industry experience preferred Data Entry and Keyboard Skills: Proficient in data entry and keyboard operations Software Skills: Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner) Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Organizational and Interpersonal Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Knowledge of Customs Regulations: Knowledge of customs regulations and harmonized tariff schedules preferred Preferred Qualifications CCS and/or Brokers License: Preferred Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM EST with occasional overtime and holidays What We Offer At FedEx Logistics, we are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and inclusive work environment that fosters growth and development.
