About the Role: Customer Support and Data Entry Specialist
This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. As a Customer Support and Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a vital role in supporting our patients, prescribers, and partners through exceptional customer service and accurate data entry. Under the general supervision of our operational program leadership, you'll work in a fast-paced environment, handling inbound and outbound customer service inquiries, reviewing and assessing incoming referrals, and ensuring seamless data entry into our database system.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle incoming customer service inquiries from patients, prescribers, insurance companies, external partners, or internal partners via telephone, resolving problems in a timely and professional manner.
Create and/or edit patient records in our database system, ensuring accurate demographics, insurance information, and prescription data from incoming referrals.
Initiate outbound telephone calls to patients and prescribers to collect additional information, explain benefit investigation outcomes, or follow up on non-responsive patients.
Attach incoming facsimile images to patient records and generate letters and brochures for patients, prescribers, or partners as needed.
Identify and escalate concerns received from patients, prescribers, partners, or insurance companies, ensuring prompt corrective action.
Document all interactions associated with patient records into our database system, maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to production and turnaround standards.
Report all Adverse Events (AE) disclosed in alignment with training and Standard Operational Procedures (SOP).
Perform other duties as assigned, adapting to changing priorities and responsibilities.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
One or more years of experience in a highly skilled and fast-paced call center environment, preferably in Specialty Pharmacy, Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), Commercial Insurance, or Patient Assistance Programs.
Detail-oriented with good analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to communicate with others at all levels.
Ability to multi-task, independently prioritize, and meet deadlines in a high call volume environment.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Ability to type at least 35 words per minute and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Experience in a similar industry or role.
