Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service support for our Review Team. You will interact with beneficiaries and providers via our helpline, create, format, and proofread letters, and maintain timeliness in your work. This position requires strong decision-making skills, particularly when dealing with complex appeals. If you have a passion for customer service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, your key responsibilities will include:


Interacting with beneficiaries and providers via the helpline, and responding to their inquiries and concerns
Creating, formatting, and proofreading letters to ensure accuracy and clarity
Managing and maintaining timeliness in your work, meeting productivity and quality standards
Making sound decisions, particularly when dealing with complex appeals and exceptions
Fostering effective working relationships with internal and external customers
Assisting with and participating in Review Team activities, including identifying areas for potential improvement
Utilizing internal quality control tools to assess individual work and team processes
Providing intake for all appeals received by Arsenault, and ensuring accurate and timely processing


Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:


A high school diploma or equivalent
Post-high school business courses or experience in a related field
Medical terminology knowledge or experience in a healthcare setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused and results-oriented approach
The ability to maintain composure under potentially stressful situations and prioritize assignments
Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in customer service guidelines and standards, with a strong attention to detail
General knowledge of PC-based computer systems and software packages, with the ability to learn new systems as needed


Experience

We are looking for candidates with:


Two to three years of clerical experience, including word processing, filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities
Prior experience in a healthcare setting or with medical terminology
Previous data entry or other clerical experience
