Job Expectations: The blithequark Way Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor in interactions with coworkers, customers, vendors, and the broader community. Adhere to blithequark's image standards by maintaining a neat appearance and good personal hygiene. Support and follow established safety, security, and quality guidelines, as well as blithequark's policies and procedures. Ensure the safety of yourself, fellow employees, and others in the work location by utilizing the blithequark Loss Prevention process. Follow food safety hygiene practices in accordance with county regulations, including proper sanitation, food handling, preparation, storage, and disposal procedures. Comply with federal law and company standards when carding customers for age-restricted products. Work professionally with vendors and contractors, and maintain regular and punctual attendance. Follow proper kitchen and sanitation procedures during the preparation of food products. Essential Functions: Delivering Exceptional Guest Service Provide exceptional guest service by being courteous, greeting customers, and making eye contact. Conduct point-of-sale activities accurately and safely, adhering to blithequark guidelines and procedures. Maintain a cash drawer within the maximum level, secure funds in the safe, and perform cashier reconciliation at the end of each shift. Perform consistent station cleaning, including restrooms, islands, pumps, and car wash facilities (if applicable). Prepare food and hot beverage products, managing inventory levels and minimizing loss. Actively promote store specials and marketing programs, and cross-check the price of delivered goods for accuracy. Distribute delivered goods in an orderly manner and ensure shelves are fully stocked. Observe local law requirements when activating and filling vehicle fuel tanks. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements and Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: Availability to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays. Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle challenging situations professionally. The ability to work independently and in team settings. Required up-to-date food handling certificates (in specific locations). Cooking or restaurant experience is preferred. Physical Demands This role requires: The ability to stand and walk for long periods on hard and uneven surfaces. The ability to bend, lift, push, and move product using proper lifting techniques. Constant standing, bending, and reaching with moderate manual dexterity when preparing food products. Safe operation of equipment that can create and hold high temperatures. Periodic exposure to outdoor conditions and moderate exposure to coolers and freezers. Frequent handwashing and attention to personal cleanliness standards.
