Position Overview
We're looking for a dedicated Customer Service & Operations Specialist who will serve as the backbone of our learning center's daily operations. This multifaceted role requires someone who can seamlessly transition between customer-facing interactions, sales activities, and behind-the-scenes administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with the dual nature of this role – building relationships with families while also managing the operational details that keep our center running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
As a vital member of the arenaflex team, you'll be responsible for a diverse range of duties that keep our learning center operating at peak efficiency. Here's what you can expect:

Family & Student Engagement

Interact positively and meaningfully with students and their parents, building lasting rapport and establishing trust from the very first conversation
Answer inquiries with patience and expertise, ensuring all families feel welcomed, heard, and valued
Take the time to understand each family's unique needs, goals, and concerns to provide personalized guidance and support
Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes students excited to learn and parents confident in their choice of arenaflex


Sales & Business Development

Conduct proactive sales outreach through phone calls, emails, text messages, and other communication channels
Follow up on leads promptly and professionally, nurturing relationships until they're ready to enroll
Host program consultations with interested families, explaining our methodology, curriculum, and unique value proposition
Guide new families through the enrollment process, ensuring a smooth transition into the arenaflex program
Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining our commitment to educational excellence and family satisfaction


Operational Management

Coordinate day-to-day operations to ensure smooth functioning of the learning center
Perform data entry and spreadsheet management, accurately tracking all sales, enrollment, and operational activities
Maintain organized records and documentation that support efficient center operations
Assist with inventory management, supplies ordering, and facility maintenance as needed


Academic Support & Assessment

Conduct student assessments to determine skill levels and identify areas for improvement
Grade student work and compile comprehensive reports for parent reviews
Print educational materials, progress reports, and other documentation needed for family consultations
Provide math tutoring assistance when needed, helping students overcome challenges and build confidence


Digital Marketing & Communications

Write engaging blog posts on educational topics, study tips, and math concepts for our website
Create compelling content for social media platforms to boost our online presence and engagement
Assist with updating website content and maintaining our digital footprint
Support marketing campaigns and initiatives that drive enrollment and community awareness


Center Support

Provide administrative support to center staff, including scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping
Assist with light cleaning and organization tasks to maintain a pristine learning environment
Support special events, workshops, and community outreach programs
Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment where everyone supports each other's success


Essential Qualifications
To excel in this role at arenaflex, we seek candidates who bring a combination of educational background, relevant experience, and personal attributes that align with our mission and values:


Educational Background: Recent college graduate with a degree in mathematics, sciences, engineering, communications, education, or a related field
Mathematical Proficiency: Strong foundational math skills through Algebra, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
Professional Experience: Minimum 2+ years of prior working experience in customer service, preferably in an office environment
Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in fast-paced situations
Communication Excellence: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences
Organizational Mastery: Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Multitasking Ability: Capacity to juggle multiple responsibilities efficiently without compromising quality
Technical Proficiency: Strong PC skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and data entry accuracy
Work Ethic: Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a genuine commitment to excellence
Availability: Must be available to work 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Location: Must reside in the San Diego area and be able to commute to our center reliably


Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

Previous experience in education, tutoring, or teaching environments
Familiarity with learning management systems or educational software
Background in sales or business development, particularly in service industries
Experience with social media management and content creation
Fluency in Spanish or other languages commonly spoken in the San Diego community
Knowledge of digital marketing best practices and analytics
