What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Associate I at arenaflex, you will be at the heart of our store operations, serving as the primary point of contact for our customers. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of duties designed to ensure smooth store operations and exceptional customer satisfaction. Here's what you can expect:

Customer Assistance and Support

Greet customers warmly and assist them with product questions, recommendations, and inquiries in a friendly and professional manner
Provide knowledgeable product information to help customers make informed purchasing decisions
Resolve customer concerns and complaints with patience, empathy, and effective problem-solving skills
Ensure every customer leaves with a positive impression of arenaflex and our products


Sales Transactions and Register Operations

Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently, processing all types of transactions including cash, credit, and debit payments
Handle cash drawer responsibilities with utmost integrity, maintaining security of all funds and company assets
Accurately scan items, apply discounts, and process returns and exchanges according to company policies
Balance registers at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring all transactions are accounted for


Store Merchandising and Stock Management

Keep the store well-stocked and organized by recovering merchandise and restocking shelves throughout the day
Receive merchandise shipments and assist with unloading trucks in a timely and efficient manner
Follow productivity standards for stock replenishment and ensure products are displayed attractively
Rotate stock properly to ensure product freshness and minimize waste
Assist with inventory management and participate in periodic inventory counts as needed


Store Cleanliness and Maintenance

Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the store at all times
Clean and restock restrooms regularly to ensure they meet our high hygiene standards
Sweep and mop floors throughout the store, including sales floor, stockroom, and break areas
Take out trash and ensure all waste disposal areas are clean and organized
Ensure all areas of the store are neat, presentable, and inviting for customers
Follow all safety protocols and report any maintenance issues or hazards immediately


Team Collaboration and Communication

Work collaboratively with fellow associates, supervisors, and managers to achieve store goals
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and company initiatives
Support fellow team members during peak hours and assist with various tasks as needed
Maintain professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders at all times


What We're Looking For: Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required
Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height is required
Mobility: Must meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
Customer Service: Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills are required
Compliance: Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and peak retail periods


Highly Preferred Qualifications

Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments
Prior cash handling experience with strong mathematical skills
Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and barcode scanners
Understanding of merchandising and stock management principles
Previous experience in a fast-paced retail environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
