Position Overview

As a Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an outstanding shopping experience to our valued customers. This position is ideal for freshers and entry-level candidates who are eager to learn, grow, and make a positive impact in a fast-paced retail environment. You will be responsible for various tasks including register operations, customer assistance, inventory management, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for:


Delivering Exceptional Customer Experience: Greet customers warmly and offer prompt, courteous assistance with products and services. Resolve customer inquiries and issues professionally to ensure a positive shopping experience that keeps customers coming back.

Register Operations: Accurately process customer transactions on the designated sales register. Collect payments, provide correct change, and handle voids, returns, delays, refunds, and exchanges as needed with attention to detail and accuracy.

Sales Support: Recommend items to customers and suggest relevant upsell or companion products to enhance their purchase. Assist in building displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise, completing resets and modifications as directed.

Store Presentation: Maintain clean, well-organized counters and displays. Keep retail spaces spotless and properly marketed. Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records as required by management.

Inventory Management: Check in and price merchandise as directed. Assist with proper separation of food items according to company policies. Support stock rotation using FIFO (first in, first out) methods and restock outs as needed.

Compliance and Security: Implement company asset security strategies to minimize loss. Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding controlled products such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco items.

Photo Department Support: Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo services, banner printing, and creative machine operations. Offer special photo products to customers as needed.

Online Order Fulfillment: Assist with web order responsibilities, including monitoring orders in the system, picking items, and delivering orders to customers as they arrive at the store.

Store Maintenance: Help maintain both interior and exterior store appearance by ensuring clean, tidy, and organized environments. Support overall store cleanliness and professional appearance at all times.

Team Collaboration: Follow all company policies and procedures while maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues. Complete special projects and additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Professional Development: Attend required training sessions and complete all assigned learning modules (PPLs) as directed by supervisors or corporate training programs.


Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:


Education: Bachelor's Degree (any field of study)
Language Skills: Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English (with the exception of Puerto Rico locations)
Availability: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Background: Must pass background check and drug screening as per company policy


Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will strengthen your application:


Six months of experience in a retail or customer service environment
Previous experience in a pharmacy, grocery, or convenience store setting
Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and store equipment
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising principles
Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish (bilingual candidates are highly desirable)
