Customer Experience Administrative Specialist

As a Customer Experience Administrative Specialist, you will utilize professional concepts to manage a variety of administrative and operational tasks. You will administer defined operational programs, analyze and resolve operational issues, and serve as a key Accounts Receivable Representative. Your responsibilities will encompass customer-focused collections, billing, and payment services, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, sponsor, and university regulations. You will also manage professional relationships, handle workload to meet service levels, and adhere to university and office policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounts receivable processes, including billing, collections, and payment processing.
Serve as a point of contact for students, departments, partners, and third-party agencies.
Analyze and resolve operational issues of moderate complexity.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and university policies.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Participate in the development, implementation, and training of new systems and processes.
Provide customer support and assistance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training.
3 or more years of experience in managing financial compliance, accounts receivable, billing, and collections within a higher education or similar institution.
Knowledge of core finance functions, including analysis, project management, and regulatory compliance.
Familiarity with modified payments, bankruptcies, court-appointed payments, tax offsets, loan exit interviews, Perkins Loans, Primary Care Loans (PCL), and Nursing Faculty Loans (NFLP).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Proficiency in common organizational computer applications.
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrated ability in problem-solving, oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, and continuous learning.
Ability to apply professional judgment to complete tasks of moderate scope and complexity.
Work Schedule: This is a remote-based position requiring on-site meetings four times per year at our Mission Center office in San Francisco (employee expense).
