Key Responsibilities Identify, research, process, resolve, and respond to customer inquiries via telephone, written correspondence, and other channels, ensuring timely and effective solutions. Handle a high volume of health insurance-related customer calls and correspondence on a daily basis, demonstrating expertise and empathy in resolving complex issues. Meet quality, quantity, and timeliness standards to achieve individual and department performance goals, as defined within department guidelines. Collaborate with various internal departments, external plans, providers, businesses, and government agencies to obtain information and ensure resolution of customer inquiries. Document and record facts related to inquiries and correspondence by updating blithequark files and systems, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Demonstrate and maintain current working knowledge of required blithequark systems, procedures, forms, and manuals, staying up-to-date on industry developments and best practices. Essential Qualifications To thrive in this role, you'll need: At least one (1) year of experience in claims examination, health insurance, customer service, call center, medical office, or other healthcare-related field, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service. A High School diploma or GED, with intermediate PC proficiency and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy, practice active listening, and compose effective business correspondence. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and translate policies, procedures, and guidelines. A collaborative mindset, with the ability to establish and maintain working relationships in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: Experience working in a healthcare insurance environment, with knowledge of health insurance products and services. Familiarity with customer service software and technology, including CRM systems and other relevant tools. Previous experience working in a remote or flexible work environment, with the ability to stay motivated and productive in a self-directed setting.
