Overview We are seeking a talented and humorous Creative Writer/Comedian to join our team in a unique role dedicated to raising awareness and support for the dogs in our rescue through adding excitement and interest to their on-line bios. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, a creative flair, and the ability to craft compelling narratives that inspire action and compassion. Duties • Develop engaging, humorous, and heartfelt content on Petfinder to promote rescue efforts. • Proofread and copy edit all content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to style guidelines. • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm creative concepts and storytelling strategies that resonate with diverse audiences. Requirements • Proven experience in creative writing, comedic writing, or technical writing with a portfolio demonstrating versatility. • A flexible schedule. Posting our dogs in a timely manner is very important to finding them a home. Thus we seek somebody who can hop on their computer one to three hours per day to make sure our dogs are being posted on a regular schedule. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives that inspire action. • Proficiency in research, fact-checking, and technical writing as needed for accurate storytelling. • A sense of humor combined with a compassionate approach toward animal welfare causes. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
