What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Operate cranes to lift and move materials and objects safely and efficiently
- Plan all lifts and manage safety protocols during crane operation
- Conduct rigging inspections and daily equipment checks
- Respond to hand and verbal commands from riggers or helpers
- Inspect work for compliance with contract plans and specifications, taking corrective action as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent with prior experience in the field or related area
- Strong working knowledge of crane operation and safety protocols
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with management and coworkers
- Proficiency in using electrical, hand tools, power tools, and measurement tools
- Valid driver's license and applicable crane operation certification (NCCCO, NCCER, or CIC)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- TWIC - Transportation Worker Identification Credential
- Experience working in construction environments with exposure to changing weather conditions
- Familiarity with safety regulations and project rules in construction settings
