As Counsel, you will support BECU's mission by guiding teams through legal matters, ensuring compliance with laws, and protecting the credit union's risk posture.ResponsibilitiesConduct Legal Research: Investigate legal issues, interpret statutes, case law, and regulations and produce clear, well‑reasoned written analyses for senior legal counselReview and Negotiate Contracts: Evaluate assigned contract clauses and other documents, negotiating terms to protect BECU’s interests under the guidance of senior counselApply Risk Awareness: Use your understanding of BECU’s risk tolerance to ensure legal approaches and recommendations align with organizational standardsSupport Litigation Activities: Collaborate on litigation matters as needed, helping prepare materials, conduct analysis, and support case strategySupport Additional Legal Needs: Contribute to other projects or responsibilities as assigned to advance departmental and organizational goals.
