ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY The Cost Controller Expert will be responsible for overseeing project cost control and supporting core financial operations. This role combines analytical cost monitoring with hands-on involvement in day-to-day financial processes and offers progressive growth within the Finance function. This position reports directly to the Finance Manager. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: Review operational costs related to suppliers and collaboration agreements, preparing business cases to assess margin impact and support decision-making. Analyze budget deviations versus initial forecasts and by product, monitoring unit costs (including labour allocation) and maintaining the analytical product costing structure. Track project progress to ensure proper income–expense correlation, margin evolution, and compliance with the approved financial framework. Prepare detailed financial reports and cost forecasts, providing long-term projections to support strategic planning and business decisions. Contribute to the preparation of project cost proposals by developing and updating accurate cost estimates for new and ongoing projects. Identify potential financial risks, recommend mitigation actions, and implement cost control measures to safeguard project profitability. Participate in project audits, ensuring financial documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with internal policies. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of accruals and reconciliation of project-related accounts. Support the customer invoicing process, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and alignment with contractual terms. Assist in maintaining accurate accounting records in line with internal policies and financial procedures. WHAT DO WE VALUE FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY? University Degree of Finances, Economics, Business Administration or similar. Robust Finance background. Background in project management control (highly value). Proficient in Microsoft Office tools – especially Excel. Proficiency in computer skills, including search databases, and MS office package or equivalent. Knowledge on the principles of clinical research / pharma industry (highly value). Fluent English and Spanish. Proactive, analytical, methodical and organized. Critical approach. Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability, to work well independently or as part of a team in a deadline- driven environment. Flexible attitude in response to time demands and unexpected events.
