As a key player on the team, you will partner with stakeholders to manage expense budgets, develop forecasts, and prepare meaningful financial analyses. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of monthly accounting transactions, providing impactful insights, and identifying opportunities for process automation. If you have a passion for financial stewardship and process improvement, we look forward to welcoming you to the team!Job RequisitionPartner with business stakeholders to manage operating expense budgets and forecastsReview and validate monthly accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and alignment with forecast assumptionsCollaborate with stakeholders to ensure financial processes (e.g., accruals, invoice coding, allocations) are executed in line with expectationsPrepare monthly variance analyses with meaningful insights and commentaryDevelop and maintain ad hoc reporting to monitor spend and key performance indicatorsIdentify and drive opportunities for process improvement through automation, standardization, and efficiency initiativesBuild and maintain strong cross-functional relationships across Finance, Accounting, and supported organizationsAct as the primary Finance point of contact for designated cost centersSupport annual and long-range planning cycles by providing data-driven insights and scenario modelingEffectively communicate financial insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders and clear calls to actionMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field2-4 years of relevant experience in financial planning, analysis, or operations with a strong track record of managing OpexProficiency in financial software/tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, or equivalent) and financial modelingExperience building and managing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysesExcellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentClear, polished communication skills with experience presenting insights to cross-functional stakeholdersA self-starter with a positive attitude who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented settingPreferred QualificationsExperience with Adaptive Insights or similar financial planning systemsStrong foundation in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and an interest in leveraging automation to enhance financial processesPrior experience in FP&A, operating expense management, or a Corporate Finance environmentFamiliarity with process improvements and efficiency building through financial systemsDemonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for both finance and non-finance teamsInstacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work.
