Coordinator, Data Support
Black Cultural Zone CDC is seeking a Data Support Coordinator to serve as the operational backbone for their data collection and tracking systems. This role is essential for maintaining data integrity and supporting the organization's mission of centering Black arts, culture, and economics in East Oakland.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Manager in managing and updating data design and technical infrastructureWork with teams to map, document, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data collection and management to ensure organizational consistencyExecute regular data entry and perform audits to ensure data quality and security across all platformsSupport teams in updating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and gather information for regular reporting cycles to ensure accurate data for stakeholdersProvide real-time technical assistance for data tools through "Open Office Hours" and collaborate with the Qualitative Coordinator to align metrics with narrative storiesAttend in-person meetings, participate in "all the BCZ things," and contribute to monthly initiative success reportsSkillsDemonstrated experience in data entry, infrastructure support, or technical coordination is requiredMust possess extreme attention to detail for record-keepingMust be able to work at a standard computer terminalMust be able to travel occasionally to BCZ hubs and partner locationsExperience in a non-profit or community-based setting is preferredFamiliarity with data toolkit components (e.g., Excel/Sheets, SQL, Tableau, R/Python) is preferredThe ability to proactively master new digital tools and stay agile as processes evolve is essentialBenefitsStatus: Full-Time, Non-Exempt.Schedule: Monday - Friday, weekends, and evenings as necessary.Location: Hybrid (requires at least 6 in-person days per month).Culture: Join a team dedicated to the 'Sankofa Journey Approach'—learning from the past to build a thriving future.Company OverviewBlack Cultural Zone is a nonprofit corporation that works for the community and economic development of Black folks in East Oakland.
