Contract: Senior Analyst, Product Analytics

Our CW team members are located all over the world. Upwork is seeking a Senior Analyst, Reputation to support product teams focused on building a trusted, high-quality marketplace experience. In this role, you will define success metrics, build measurement frameworks, and deliver reporting and experimentation insights that inform product strategy and execution. You will partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Operations to ensure reputation and trust-related initiatives are measurable, impactful, and aligned with marketplace outcomes. This is an opportunity to work on complex challenges such as behavioral measurement, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making while contributing to a more transparent and reliable platform experience. Work/Project Scope: Define and maintain product success metrics and KPI frameworks for reputation and trust-related product areas. Build and evolve measurement strategies that connect product changes to user behavior, engagement, and business outcomes. Design, execute, and analyze experiments (A/B tests and quasi-experiments), applying causal inference methods where appropriate. Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting to monitor product health, leading indicators, and strategic goals. Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data instrumentation, ensuring high-quality and reliable datasets. Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover user behavior insights, friction points, and growth opportunities. Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations and narratives for stakeholders. Establish analytics best practices and operating rhythms, including reporting cadences and measurement plans. Support survey data governance, including sampling strategies and interpretation of response trends. Must Haves (Required Skills): Proven ability to lead end-to-end analytics projects, from problem definition to delivering actionable insights. Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets, including data validation and debugging. Expertise in metrics design, KPI development, and measurement strategy. Experience with experimentation methodologies (A/B testing) and causal inference techniques. Proficiency with BI tools such as Looker or Tableau, and experience with Python or R for analysis.
