About the Role The Anticipated Community Outreach Facilitator position is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and community-oriented individual to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students and their families. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing outreach strategies that promote student enrollment, retention, and success. Your exceptional communication skills, cultural competence, and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders will be essential in this role. Key Responsibilities Outreach and Engagement: Develop and implement outreach efforts to promote student enrollment, retention, and success, including assisting with student registration, fee waiver applications, and other enrollment processes. Community Building: Foster relationships with community members, including local clergy, business leaders, community activists, immigration attorneys, social service agencies, scholarship organizations, and local government officials. Communication and Translation: Provide translation services for verbal and written communications, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to critical information. Event Planning and Participation: Attend Open Houses, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and other events to promote parental involvement and engagement. Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with administration, staff, and faculty to promote enrollment of students in courses and career pathways, and provide support for student and parent conferences. Professional Development: Participate in professional development activities to enhance job performance and stay up-to-date on best practices in community outreach and engagement. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Language Proficiency: Native-level proficiency in written and spoken Spanish or other languages, as well as English. Cultural Competence: High degree of familiarity with diverse cultures and ability to work effectively with students, families, and community members from varied backgrounds. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use of computers, office practices, procedures, and office equipment. Preferred Qualifications Experience: Previous experience in community outreach, education, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in promoting student engagement and success. Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, social work, or community development. Certifications or Training: Certifications or training in areas such as community outreach, cultural competence, or language interpretation.
