Contract IT Security Consultant – Healthcare MDM & Device Governance (Short-Term Engagement)

Genius Consulting is preparing a secure, centrally managed mobile device solution for presentation to a California state hospital system. The solution involves supervised Apple devices, centralized MDM governance, and secure content delivery within a behavioral health institutional environment. We are seeking a contract IT Security Consultant to validate our architecture, strengthen our security positioning, and provide enterprise-level guidance aligned with healthcare standards. Scope of Engagement: The selected consultant will: • Review and validate enterprise mobile device management (MDM) configuration (Apple / Jamf or equivalent) • Assess device supervision, kiosk enforcement, and policy control structure • Provide input on HIPAA-aligned architectural positioning (no PHI storage on endpoints) • Review and refine security language used in demonstration materials • Identify risk gaps and mitigation recommendations • Be available for potential technical Q&A support during or following demonstration (if required) This is not a full system build. The engagement is focused on security validation, governance review, and enterprise positioning. Required Qualifications: • 5+ years experience in enterprise IT security • Experience with Mobile Device Management (Jamf, Intune, Workspace ONE, or similar) • Familiarity with Apple Business Manager and supervised iOS deployments • Experience in healthcare or government IT environments preferred • Strong understanding of security policy documentation and risk mitigation frameworks • Ability to communicate clearly in executive-level discussions Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory): • CISSP • CISM • CompTIA Security+ • Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA) Engagement Details: • Short-term contract (estimated 10–20 hours total) • Remote • Flexible schedule • Immediate start preferred • NDA required To Apply: Please provide: • Resume highlighting relevant enterprise security experience • Certifications (if applicable) • Brief summary of experience with healthcare or government clients • Availability over the next 2–3 weeks Compensation is negotiable based on experience.
