Tax Staff Accountant
Gen II Fund Services is one of the largest global independent private equity fund administrators. They are seeking entry-level tax staff accountants who will be involved in tax compliance services for multiple client engagements, including preparing tax returns and coordinating with external auditors.ResponsibilitiesObtain a detailed understanding of the client’s partnership agreement(s) and how to apply it to deliverables, including creating tax-carried interest computationsReview and validate Forms W-8BEN, W-8BEN-E, W-8EXP, and W-8IMY to properly administer treaty claims for reduced U.S. withholding taxPrepare federal and state tax returns and associated workpapersCalculate quarterly estimated tax paymentsMeet ad-hoc tax compliance requests from clients and partners/ investorsPrepare responses to state and federal tax noticesCoordinate with external auditors and tax reviewersOther assigned projectsSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting and Master's degree in Tax, JD and/or LLM (150 credit-hours minimum)CPA candidateStrong work ethicProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsMeticulous attention to detailAbility to multi-task and meet deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational and analytical skillsThrive independently and as part of a teamCPA certificationUnderstanding of U.S. partnership taxationUnderstanding of U.S. corporate taxationProficiency with Thomson Reuters GoSystemsBenefitsComprehensive benefits packageCompany OverviewGen II Fund Services provides highly customized, client-centric accounting and administrative services to the private equity industry.
